Sue Stemp

From their fall collection now half off at Milk Navy felt with pleats, aww.

Cream linen for Spring.
This is on my list for warmer days.

I saw her at Canter's a while back checking out a band, I probably drooled a little.
tokidoki

I like how Soy and Latte are happy, Baby is sadness, Leche is angry and the others are just indifferent to their milks. I guess being 2% isn't very exciting.
Perfect for washing down these:

Despite my current bitterness toward weezer I cannot imagine growing up without Pinkerton. It MADE my teen years and although the booklet was only one sheet folded I can't count how many times I'd stare at it lying in my bed listening to the album. To this day The World Has Turned and Left Me Here is like pure magic for a loner like me.
I'm not usually motivated to talk to musicians but this is an exception. Davey from AFI was my only other. Thanks to liquid courage for making it all possible.
EDIT: See
They got a picture of me in there too, o my.
Valextra

(I am so tempted to make a corny one-liner with a desire/perscription reference here it's not even funny! I resist.)
Although the GO line is missing a lot of darkness from their Spring line lucky for me my favorite piece is rather parallel.
Proenza Schouler Spring 2007

Aghh I love this dress, such a perfect combination of things! Classy but fun, structured but a bit flowy, muted and bright, spring spring spring.
Proenza Schouler GO International line

White skinny jeans, also come in light grey. The closeup hints to some contrast stitching which could be a nice touch for only $34.99.

I love this not-trying-too-hard jersey boy tee, in yellow! Also comes in Green, Purple, Blue, White and Black and at $14.99 why not buy a few.

I wore my green mini from the GO Luella line as part of my girl scout costume for Halloween and I just cant look at it the same way! Please do not let it happen to this striped wonder. $24.99.
Hopefully soon we can see some multi-view previews.
Brand Nizzle

This one feels perfect for lounging around till 2pm on a Sunday in the tee and knickers (not these though, so so scary) then ideal for piling layers on top of once you finally want to face the world.
AFI

I'm kind of afraid of this shirt, but it's a perfect band shirt...what can I say? I'd feel a sense of goth empowerment wearing it.
Jawbreaker

Beats the shit out of repurposing the The Godfather logo, RUN DMC block, etc.
San Vicente / Fairfax / Olympic

Let's start with home. Fairfax and Olympic meet and San Vicente cuts them off, but a bit down creating an awkward few feet where you get stuck in the middle of the intersection. Besides that, the intersection of San Vicente / Olympic is huge - over 200 ft (about 20 stories) of road to stare at while waiting at a red light.
San Vicente / La Cienega / Burton

Only a mile up San Vicente running double thick crosses La Cienega and Burton pops off West double thick, making this one pretty intimidating. You'll spend a good few years turning onto La Cienega when you mean to turn on San Vicente because you cannot tell which is which. Then it's do you go all the way down to Wilshire and forget the hypotenuse or make a quick left on the secret street that lets you back onto San Vicente - a move that always feels seriously illegal.
Bonus points for Beverly Center traffic and drivers that will never let you over.
Sunset / Hollywood / Hillhurst / Virgil

Virgil turns into Hillhurst, Hollywood turns into Sunset, and you feel like you're going to get hit by oncoming traffic from one of the 6 streets that meet here any minute.
Virgil / Silver Lake / Temple

Three streets crossing the intersection in the same direction is just awkward. Silver Lake decides to run East to West instead of North to South and then dissapears completely.
Freeways?

I Can't Talk About It.
10. Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer? 1/23
(Oops...I just realized I have this in my iTunes. Thanks Ducker.)
9. Novi Split - Pink in the Sink Feb
8. 20 Minute Loop - TBA
7. Say Anything - TBA
6. Alkaline Trio - Remains 1/30
(finally, i figure out what that mystery album is!)
5. Trembling Blue Stars - Exploring the Shadows 3/19
4. Explosions in the Sky - All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone 2/20
3. Architecture in Helsinki - TBA
2. Apostle of Hustle - National Anthem of Nowhere 2/6
1. Trembling Blue Stars - The Last Holy Writer 4/16
EDIT - New EITS which I just got transferred to me, album name bonus pts.
On a side note, I'm seriously disturbed that there's a My Chemical Romance tribute album coming out Tuesday entitled My Chemical Romance Piano Tribute. Besides them being so popular off being so horrible I think it really gets to me that they decided to play music to 'make a difference' after 9/11.
The tributes only get better on 1/30 - both a Fall Out Boy and Evanescence drop on the same day. Oh my.
Sperry Top-Sider

Love the twist on this already great classic preppy shoe. I feel like Marc Jacobs could have collabed on this one, it'd fit right in with his Spring line. AND he has done that pair in yellow and blue that jock this style.
Loeffler Randall

I love the shape of Loeffler Randall flats...ultra sleek and feminine. I've been staring at this pair all season that just went on sale at Creatures of Comfort. So.damn.tempting.
Dolce Vita

Ultra soft and peep toe!
C Label

Linen and down to only $53 from $209.

Seriously what is that next to last character? I just bet on T and I lost.
I don't know what's more hilarious, the original rant or the ranting about the rant!
There are so many great points I'm not sure which to list as my favorite. It could be:
"Tim...you are the kind of music-hermit who only listens to his own records"'
or,
"Tim is old, jaded, ill informed"
or maybe,
"You are emophobic. Self LOATHING EMOPHOBIC"
or flat out,
"FUCK YOU KINSELLA"
Sorry Max, you ain't got shit on "Circa Survive, you ran an add, and I'm sorry, that's enough. You must not survive."
Edit: i had to put the image under extended, what an eyesore
& on a main yahoo page and everything. Not to mention they are still rockin the Christmas banner in the new year.
tsk tsk.

Tripping Me Up
Valextra sounds like a perscription drug but when you're making pieces in fine white leather like this travel bag does it even matter?Valextra

You're Gonna Need That Patience Soon
Proenza Schouler arrives at Target on Feb.4. The site was supposed to have some updates today but there are none to be found, none to be found! From the press looks it seems it'll be much better than the overly holiday-esque Behnaz Sarafpour line which left such a bad taste in my mouth (minus this jacket which is only $22 now)Although the GO line is missing a lot of darkness from their Spring line lucky for me my favorite piece is rather parallel.

Cutesy band tees are fun to look at but I just get bored with them after a while. These would only get better with age and wear.Brand Nizzle

Every Turn
This post is dedicated to the most fucked up intersections in LA. Intersections where you wouldn't be surprised if you went the wrong direction on a street, where streets change names and directions, and you're stuck at the intersection for ages if you just miss a light thinking...are there seriously cars coming from 6 directions in this sea of asphalt?San Vicente / Fairfax / Olympic

Feet on the Ground
It's almost Spring. Since I cringe at the thought of chatty girls running down Melrose in their oversized ornimental metallic bags, here's some metallic-ness toned down by application on a classy flat.Sperry Top-Sider

(In Fact I'm) Pioneering New Emotions
I don't know how I could have possibly missed this response to the amazing Tim Kinsella Alternative Press piece by Max Bemis of Say Anything.I don't know what's more hilarious, the original rant or the ranting about the rant!
