I want to grow a forest! The irony of cutting down trees, covering them with laminex and acrylic and shaping them into trees again. I really like them and their commentary on the pieces just seals the deal.

Love Like Winter

Frilly footwear, especially in satin, suede and black are so summer inappropriate they're appropriate again. A la the few black flats I posted earlier - they fit right in with the fun, playful aspect of summer and are such a great contrast for simple roomy dresses and tees. I can't rid the thought of frolicking around in a silly pair with something special on the toes. These pairs come to save us from bows and flowers...

I was overwhelmingly amazed by how sweet the boutique owners and employees were, each one genuinely interested in helping and sincere in their compliments unlike LA where you're lucky to get a hello. I get so frustrated with LA owners who move here, open a boutique and think they've made it. I made my way over to Fremont and bought an Acne dress from Impulse - a store that was even more magical than I had imagined. Well worth the 30 minutes waiting for a taxi back to downtown (ugh).
I also brought home a Chloe bag...yeeaah, and have already lost it's leather duffel tag.

Thinking Paris looks prettier crying than smiling, is that not strange? This photograph is fabulous. Those reflection lines.

I love the way Lisa Alisa captures girls. A still calmness really shows through. Her sparrows are also quite cute. I'm thinking of art for my walls in my new (future) apartment and I'd love to have some of her work.

There's a extra special place in my heart for Frank Gehry's silver and I'd love to get a piece for thee finger. Don't get me started on the bitterness associated with not being able to find his silver litho cards for sale anymore after using the last of my set for thank you letters for a job I did not get. I think these could fill the empty space. Who am I kidding...I would pee in thee pants.
