Christina Ricci on the cover of California Style in Donna Karan Collection made me want to take a second look at the line. Indeed some nice pre-fall pieces. The last dress feels holiday-yayness without screaming "Hey I'm a Holiday Dress."

I stopped in San Francisco yesterday on a quick trip up and along the way ran into these sketches by Mollie Goldstrom. They're already sold from the Giant Robot exhibit, boos, they would have been perfect for my new walls since I'm bringing in a bit of a wood theme. Def want to watch out for her later stuff.

Kristen Coates has one of the all time best bios, it just makes me smile. Love her sincerity and that it's a Los Angeles based line. The Fall 07 collection definitely comes through for us girls who tirrrrelessly juggle dancing and cupcakes.

This black leather 3.1 Phillip Lim jacket is on the top of my list for fall. I've officially deemed it an investment. While I'm excited to see it off runway please kill me if I ever style it like this - don't the proportions look different?! Please don't let these hours of mind-wandering be of waste and it only look good if you are 5'10''+. Comfort: the flagship NY store that opened two days ago. Since I should be making my way out there soon I can't wait to try it on (maybe in an XS to compensate). Will sparks fly?

Long Distance Drunk

The dangerous thing about drinking in NY is the loss of a certain limit-consciousness that goes along with cab-unfriendly Los Angeles drinking - without fail leading to black-outs, tales of subway sign reciting, and never fading bruises from the steep black stairs at Pianos. In these shining moments, a little napkin would come in handy.

I found out about Dr Rabias from Mexico City snagging some hand cut stickers from a package he mailed over to my boyfriend. His ninjas are fresh. Comforting in this sub-par 'street art' bombarded time.

Hah, great line. I knew there would be much more publication if in fact California was banning use of cell phones while driving, and finally confirmed - it's a hoax!
Started by chain emails, actually goes into effect July 2008, not 2007. And leading up there will be major education pushes to make sure we know.

Hooray, an extra year of being 'that asshole' - and even in 2008 they can take away my phone to ear rights but I no doubt will continue returning emails via Blackberry while driving!! Triumph.

Imaginary Ordinary

Well this photo is by no means new (Vogue Italia 2005 by way of the ue) but I felt I must save it here for safe keeping! Although it's from the past, it reminds me of the future...new digs, a grand chair, fab style, sweetness bunny on thee lap (mine actually looks very close to the one pictured). Comfy but grand days.
