Small Apartment Party Epiphany

When I think print I tend to think busy-color. Jesse Kamm, however, manages to stay bold without the stuff. I'm a sucker for greyscale, so I like these pieces from her fall collection a lot.

Oh no, disaster!

I came home with the intent to spend some much needed time browsing and posting only to find a terrible black screen of death - my trusty computer of 8 years has finally found its grave. True I've been wishing for its demise and a reason to return to the apple world but the reality of forking out that kind of dough makes me die a bit myself.
And suddenly the track ball on my blackberry has ADD.
Yikes.

Open Up Your Heart

There's a certain charm to a piece that can swallow up a model with all its fabric and flourish (when you're wearing 5 inch+ heels that is). I was so charmed by Dior and Givenchy's Spring 08 Couture.

Frenchy, I'm Faking

I want this beret shower cap from JOIE DE VIVRE. So much better than the pathetically thin piece of plastic I strap on compliments of The Hampton Inn.



And since I seem to have an obsession with putting animals around my head (thanks to Miss Van, Giles?) the duck makes the cut as well, and somehow, feels more fierce. No smiling with the duck on.

I'm coming up on the eight year anniversary of this space on the world wide web. Phew.
It was never normal let alone cool to have a blog, yet it has always been natural for me to have a still-life existence.
And while the reading early posts filled with the emotionally unstable fits of adolescence can be a bit unsettling, it can be nice to look back.

Across The Sea

I decided to check back up on the very memorable silver Ginger & Smart bag from Australia Spring/Summer show. Boy did I get more than I was expecting! All brilliant, but the black fold over Marcel would be perfect since I'm currently wishing for a great black bag.









Now off I go to clean up the drool and swim across the blue pacific for Sydney shores.
Speaking of blue, this is cool.

Although for most new years Death Cab's "and I don't feel any different" is all too appropriate, this year brought a fantastic energy and I cannot wait for the things ahead.

Starting a magazine.

And my first brilliant idea of 2008 that hit me the minute I got out of bed?
GROUP YARD SALE MANIA! Time to free myself of some randomness that has left me unable to fully move into my apartment.
GAH! There's not much I love more than spending hours looking through all things ordinary piece by piece. I live the life of a pack rat, adopting small treasures whenever I spot them, but secretly wish to be swooped up by minimalism. At times I let my mind wander off to the fantasy of living out of one suitcase. (Only to return to the reality that the most I can do is trade some under-used bits for pocket change.)
