Ink from my boyfriend's desk.
Today we drove through hours of alleys and deserted eastern downtown streets, snapping photos along the way for a few of our long-pursued projects. So nice I'm feeling completely unstable at the thought of returning to the real world.

Oh and I should post this! A print he did from my photo. For a horror / halloween show hence the whole choking bit.

The Reformation

I am stumped by the idea that three completely [now] treasured boutiques have opened in Los Angeles over the past month. So scene shifting that it nearly feels like I moved to a different city. Or maybe I was just THAT jaded.

The Reformation (discovered few weeks back after busting a rather extreme u-turn maneuver on La Brea) is one of them, vintage > new...pinning thick zippers on embroidered slip-tanks and pockets on rich slouchy sweaters.
142 N. La Brea Ave, Wed-Sun and open till 8pm (!!) like neighboring American Rag

Now if the bars would only catch up. It is getting so stale we're forced to drink at the natural history museum.

Crispin & Basilio Spring 2009 - LA Fashion Week

Crispin is always such a treat. Donny puts together the most comfortable but glamorous pieces. Yes I mustered the energy to head over to Smashbox this year for LA "Fashion Week"...escaping just before the LC madness.

Inspiration

Cherishing wrinkled scraps of paper and absorbed by color combinations, etc etc - in general overwhelmingly inspired lately.

Shots of some things around me. Grasses found in santa barbara, colors and textures, vintage flats, my closet board currently, a horse so magical might as well have a horn.

I Dont Like Mondays

In honor of heading to the office this holiday-for-most Monday, I must say I'm liking some product shots on the I Dont Like Mondays recently launched online store.

The upside of beginning the week? Just enough energy from sleeping till noon on the weekend to pull together the best outfit I'll wear all week. It's really only downhill from there.

Ten Over Six Opening Thursday

I'm kind of excited about this. (OKAY, really excited.)
We are suffering from a lack of new, and this feels so fresh but at the same time snuggly with its ny charm. Reminds me of trolling around rainy, windy Brooklyn streets and popping in Future Perfect. I love that they brought that feeling inside.

Chloe, Chanel, Stella Spring/Summer 09 - Paris

I've been hit with exhaustion lately and have just drowsed off each night I sat down to look at the Paris shows. Not, of course, to say eventually getting to wrap everything up wasn't filled with interesting things.
