Moth
Love how this is filmed, must see soon!"Sophie, a beautiful drug abusing young actress, flies into Los Angeles from New York, for a job. While staying at the home of some family friends, who just happen to be out of town, Sophie finds her boredom and unhappiness to be the least of her problems."
From the short film, MOTH. Written and Directed by Hilton Carter.

Set Free
Last night my mom was set free from her battle with cancer. While I knew it was coming and our family gathered for the last week and a half of her life, it was impossible to prepare for such a moving and sudden experience. The power, things seen and things learned were so perspective altering. It was amazing to watch her as sad as the thought of losing her was. Once she lost the ability to speak or see clearly I spent hours just staring into her eyes - an unexpected and overwhelming happiness. Waking up to see her in the morning - a humbling joy.Throughout her severe pain I never once heard her complain and never saw her cry. So beautiful, so strong, stoic and graceful throughout every phase. She will live on in my memories as the strongest and most giving person I have ever met.
Unforgettable and uniquely irreplaceable.
So much to aspire to that words could never do justice.
I found this photo of my mom in her youth for the first time while moving her boxes a couple months ago. It blew my mind, and as I gushed and gushed to her over the colors!, the brilliance!, the setting! she commented modestly as always.

I'll miss you so.

It could all be so simple
A couple recent loves from The Selby, Edward leida - design director of W magazine at his home in Manhattan. So obsessed with this print and this kettle shape. How do I find them for myself? My heart is thumping as I stare.

Maison et Objet
Maison is hands down the best home accessories fair in the world, spanning multiple convention center halls and five days of design-junkie treats for the eyes. One of the exhibits at Maison I found most inspiring was EXHIBITION TRANSCULTURES by Elizabeth Leriche. Woven chairs from Moroso, knit stools and poofs including my fav from SCP and patterns galore - really outstanding.

Typical me, forgot to bring my camera charger abroad but I'll be posting about a few other lines in weeks to come that I salivated over during the show.

Potted
I came home arms full of baby succulents last weekend and it brought some much needed life and cuteness in my space. Love!
